Dorothy Campbell was born in 1883 and died in 1845. She was known as Dorothy Howe and Dorothy Hurd as she married and divorced a few times in his career as a professional senior golf. Dorothy only had five victories in major championships fans. She won the British Women and the U.S.> Women's Amateur in the same year, 1909. She came from a family of golfers as their brothers and uncles in the game, and his father. Campbell's last victory was the U.S. Senior Amateur in 1938. Glenna Collett Varela was born in 1903 and died in 1989. He had no known tour wins but had six major championship victories. She started playing golf at the age of fourteen and by the time he was nineteen in 1922, won the U.S. Women's Fans and continued to do this five times. She served until his sixties, Varela wrote two books in the late 10920. She was highly respected as a woman golfer and had a great game when it comes to green. She has a trophy given annually to young girls, is call the Glenna Collett Vare Trophy.
Joyce Wethered was born in 1901 and died in 1991. She had four major championship victories, and was a member of the British Curtis Cup. When Wethered and Varela came to play together three times in golf history, Wethered Varela won all three times. Though he never competed in the golf courses highest level, though it could drive the ball two hundred and forty meters accurately. Wethered was best known in British circles more than in the United States. She married and became Lady Heathcoat-Amory.
Patty Berg was an important leader in the circle of senior golf. Born in 1918 and died in 2006. She had suffered sixty tour, which includes wins before the LPGA was even formed. Patty also had fifteen major championship wins to add to his career in golf. She succeeded in winning the first U.S. Women's Open in 1946. It set a record for being the only woman to win fifteen major championship tours. Patty turned pro in 1940, but joined the Navy until 1945. The "Patty Berg" award is given annually to the woman who makes the biggest contribution to the game of golf for women. This tradition began in 1978.
There are many highly professional senior golf and have become the Hall of Fame World Golf, like these ladies. They have contributed to the golf course and have become well known to many of the senior men's professional golf. Many women still compete in golf tournaments are high level and made a name for themselves. Some are good at the time unit and some are famous for their short game. These women have made way for the new generation of golfers.
