The 28 annual Senior Open golf for senior professionals was held at Whistling Straits in New Haven, Michigan. The course opened in 1998 and was designed by Pete Dye, Herbert Kohler, the Kohler Company. Before the Open, 2004 Senior PGA Championship was held at Whistling Straits.
